Gravity Defying Fitness Mobile App Policy
This policy applies specifically to the Gravity Defying Fitness mobile application, developed and operated by Gravity Defying Fitness (also operating as GDF Athletic Club).
Our mobile application collects user-provided data (e.g. registration profile, physical body metrics, training schedules, and meal logs) to deliver and customize your training programs and coaching experience.
Location & GPS Data (Run Hub)
When you use the GDF Run Hub feature, the Gravity Defying Fitness mobile application requests access to your device's precise location (GPS) to track your running route, distance, pace, and split times. Location data is processed exclusively during active workout sessions for your personal fitness tracking and is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
Microphone Access & Audio Processing
The mobile application requests optional access to your device's microphone to enable voice-based meal logging. When using dictation, speech is converted into text locally or securely via API. Raw audio is never recorded, stored, or sold. The transcribed text is used solely to assist with nutritional calculations.
Account Deletion & Data Retention
We respect your right to manage and delete your personal data:
- You can delete your account at any time directly inside the Gravity Defying Fitness app by navigating to Settings > Delete Account.
- You may also request permanent account deletion by emailing us at support@gdfathletic.com.
- Upon account deletion, all profile details, workout logs, body metrics, and meal history are permanently removed from our databases.
Third-Party Data Processors
The application works with trusted service providers to ensure secure storage and operations:
- Supabase: Provides enterprise-grade encrypted authentication, database storage, and secure cloud backups.
- OpenAI: Used solely for calculating meal nutrition estimates from user-provided descriptions. No personal identity data is shared.
